Angelina Jolie Pairs Her Sleek Suit With a Cool Tie-Print Tee

Angelina Jolie and daughter Vivienne had a fun night out at the theater following the opening of their own Broadway production, The Outsiders.

On Thursday, the mother and daughter stepped out to support friend Kristen Bell at the opening-night performance of Reefer Madness: The Musical, which took place at the Whitley in Los Angeles.

The belle of the ball, Bell, looked lovely in a black slipdress with a triangular sheer panel at the chest, black sandals, and diamond and gold jewelry, including chunky hoop earrings encrusted with tiny diamonds.

For her part, Jolie put an artsy, streetwear spin on the classic suit look, pairing her sleek black blazer and dress pants from Another Tomorrow with a white tee featuring a graphic gray striped tie print. She finished the cool, minimalistic ensemble with some black shades and small gold hoop earrings. She kept her makeup minimal and wore her blonde hair straight down.

Her 15-year-old daughter also took the artsy route, opting for a black vest with a patchwork detail, which she layered over a subtly checkered light blue button-down. Vivienne coordinated with her mom in black trousers—though hers were wide-legged and baggy—and finished the look with classic black Converse sneakers.

Vivienne worked as Jolie’s production assistant on The Outsiders. The show, which had a run in San Diego last year before coming to Broadway, is based on S.E. Hinton’s classic 1967 coming-of-age novel of the same name, about a violent rivalry between two teenage gangs. It has now been nominated for 12 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
