Released as a part of the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack, the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon in Destiny 2 is one of the simpler endgame-level activities in Destiny. That doesn't stop it from being a fan favorite, though. The encounters, pirate theme, self-referential humor, and of course, the sweet loot make Grasp one of the better Dungeons Bungie has released.

Grasp of Avarice is another Dungeon that's now old enough to make its way into the Weekly Dungeon Rotation! That means when it is the featured Dungeon, the final boss will drop a Pinnacle-level reward and it becomes farmable! Let's take a look at how to all of the weapons and armor pieces in Grasp of Avarice!

Destiny 2 Grasp of Avarice Dungeon Overview

Grasp of Avarice brought a selection of fan-favorite Destiny 1 weapons to Destiny 2, including the Gjallarhorn Exotic Rocket Launcher. While the Gjallarhorn doesn't drop in the Dungeon, the only way you can access the Grasp of Avarice is through the Quest that will eventually unlock it for you.

G-Horn aside, Grasp is absolutely worth running for things like the 1000 Yard Stare, Eyasluna, and the amazing Thorn-inspired Echo Suit armor set. We're going to take a look at exactly what loot drops in each encounter in the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon so you can optimize your farming runs! Also, keep in mind that the final boss encounter might have a lot of loot to dilute the farm, but it offers double drops, so make sure you run it!

Phry'zhia The Insatiable Encounter Loot

The first real boss of the Dungeon is your first opportunity at new loot! This is a very fun encounter and not something that changes things up much at all. Keep collecting those fake engrams and eventually, you'll get some real loot! The Matador isn't quite as insane as it was in Destiny 1, but it's still a great addition to your inventory!

Shield Shutdown Encounter Loot

The Shield Shutdown Encounter is a fun one but can feel like a slog due to the inability to speed things up unless you develop a deep familiarity with spawn locations. The only thing we'd recommend farming this one for is Artifice Armor on Master difficulty if you need it for these slots, otherwise, best to avoid this one.

Captain Avarokk, the Covetous Encounter Loot

You've made it to the final boss of the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon! Here, you'll be able to slay the boss for double loot, which is great considering the best loot in GOA comes from this encounter. Keep an eye out for a Headstone/Outlaw roll on an Eyasluna. Absolutely killer.

Bonus: Grasp of Avarice Dungeon Secret Hidden Chests

Grasp, like Ghosts of the Deep or any other Dungeons or Raids in Destiny 2, has a few hidden chests to find for those looking for even more roll opportunities! The first chest is in the large round room where the Scorch Cannon is first introduced. This chest is going to be directly on the other side of the large pillar at the center of the room from where you come in. The second chest is located just after the Sparrow section. Once you've made it into the giant crystal skull, ascend into the left eye-opening and the chest will be there waiting for you to claim its plunder!

That's it! You now know exactly where to find all of the armor and weapons in the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon!
