Serena Williams has been a longtime close friend of the Duchess of Sussex, so it's understandable that she keeps getting asked about Meghan Markle's pregnancy.
Being Serena Season 1
In an interview with E! News, the tennis superstar was asked whether she thought Meghan would make a good mother. Williams replied, "She'll be the best mom, for sure." And that's not all. Williams also went on to offer the advice she would give to new mothers saying, "Accept mistakes and don’t expect to be perfect. We put so much pressure on ourselves."
Williams is, of course, mother to one-year-old Olympia Ohanian.
It was when Williams mentioned "My friend is pregnant," that she seemed to suggest that Meghan might be having a baby girl. As the tennis champ explained, "she was like, ‘My kid’s gonna do this,’ [and] I just looked at her like, ‘No, she’s not. No, you’re not.' She was like, ‘I need to talk to you about tips,’ because, yes, I had all of those high expectations."
Williams referenced her friend's baby as "she" and, obviously, royal fans are freaking out. Could this mean that Meghan is actually having a baby girl?
Cosmopolitan muses that at Meghan's New York baby shower, many guests appeared to arrive with presents wrapped with blue wrapping and ribbons. Whether or not this was related to the sex of Meghan and Harry's baby remains to be seen. For now, the jury is still out.
