Zendaya Has a Barbie Moment in a Head-to-Toe Hot-Pink Suit

July 2024 · 2 minute read

Zendaya knows how to make a glamorous entrance in hot pink.

While attending Valentino's fall/winter 2022 show in Paris this past weekend, the Euphoria star sat front row, dressed like the ultimate Barbie girl in a fuchsia iteration of a suit from the house's fall 2022 collection.

The suit—which included a double-breasted blazer, a top with a deep V-neck, and straight-leg trousers—was covered in bold, floral appliqués. She paired the loud look with a matching pair of Valentino Garavani platform heels, as well as a matching double-breasted trench coat. The actress kept her accessories to a minimum, wearing gold hoop earrings and a few gold chain necklaces.

The Italian fashion house announced that Zendaya would be the new face of Valentino in December 2020. Creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli explained in a statement that the Emmy winner is a "natural representative of his contemporary concept of romanticism."

He elaborated, "The reason why we chose Zendaya as the new face for Valentino is because she perfectly embodies and represents what Valentino is and stands for, today. She is a powerful and fierce young woman that uses her talent and her work to express herself, her values and her generation as well."

Since, she's been known to rep Valentino during major red-carpet events.

For instance, at the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Zendaya wore a custom Valentino Haute Couture gown embroidered with black cobwebs. And during a January photo-call for Euphoria, she and longtime stylist Law Roach pulled a black-and-white gown from the house's spring/summer 1992 collection.
